Default Weight lifting......

going on to my junior year in high school, i'm aiming for 325 for next bench, my squat is 450, and my dead lift is 465, and hang clean is 155. i've been hittin the Y for years, i weigh in at 245. and my bench now is 300 about. i do reps with 225/235/and 230. i've been going lighter lately. and Freshman around here are weak, and i don't believe they do 250.... please, my first max on bench was 185, i'm a mutant. i'd like to see these 250lbs freshman bench pressers

Long as I can lift 12 ounces, I'm happy.

Default Weight lifting......

I work out 4 days a week. I'm 28 years old and been doing it along time, since I was 15 years old. I just like to look good, stay in good shape, and be strong, I don't care what anybody thinks about me. I'm 6'1 and 215 lbs, and 11 percent body fat, I will try to post some pictures. If you are trying to add size do chest and tri's one day, biceps and back the next, legs and shoulders the next. You need to let your muscles rest at least 3 days before you do them again. If you have any questions or comments p.m. me.

Oh yah, my max on bench is 370. But I really don't think that is that strong, I am bigger than alot people who can do 400 or better. It's all about your routine, not what you can bench.

That's great, but you won't get bigger until you do heavy weight to push yourself and grow. Your muscles grow by you doing heavy weight ( breaking them down and then they grow back repairing themselves and getting bigger ) That's why you get sore, because you have tore tiny muscle strands and they are repairing themselves.

There's something to be said about doing regular work as opposed to lifting weights in a focused muscle group manner. I used to do a little weightlifting, not all that much, but I'm a dumb farmboy from eastern Washington and threw a hay bale or two and chopped and carried my share of firewood. My cousin from Seattle was a pro baseball player for years, worked out religiously with the nautilus system (talking back in the 80's) and he's 6 5" big guy.

Well he was out at the ranch once back then and I was showing him my archery stuff that I shoot deer with. I could pull back a 95 pound draw bow, the one I was shooting then was about 84 lb, and he couldn't get that dam thing back for the life of him. I'd pull 'er straight on back without thinking twice. It was funny as hell.
