What is the most recent Dirt Wheels? My most current issue is August. I need to renew my subscription and I think I missed an issue.

How did you like the article on finding good deals on used quads? I am not subscribed, but I've got the issues up to here.

I just got my Sept. issue in the mail also.
The DS650 looks nice but I'll have to wait to see the reviews before I'd trade my EX.

That DS650 will hopefully get the other factry's butts in gear and maybe someone will produce a killer 2-stroke! I can't wait for the test ride in next month's issue!

The DS 650 looks and sounds great, on paper, but id hold on to your current quad for a bit longer!
As far as new two-strokes getting built, i would not count on it. The enviro-nutz are trying to clamp down hard, and in CAlifornia so far they are. Thats the reason the 400 ex is such an important machine. It looks as if it is helping generate interest among both the established ATV builders and some new and very interesting possibilities from equally well established companies, albeit in other power sports markets to build high performance 4 stroke ATV's.

Now if they would put get some guts ansd one of their 600+ triple 2-stroke snowmobile motors in a quad chassis, ID BE THERE!

RoostKing... Tore apart LT 250 R AGAIN!

About DW,
Now you ALL know what DW is gonna say," Its a nice first attempt (the 650), but our 400 ex just handled a little better and seemed to just be more powerful." Then it'll go on to say how the 400 ex has better shocks and bright red colors. ALL this, coming from a magazine that puts a picture of a 98 Yamaha Big Bear 350 in the photo shoot of the ALL NEW Big Bear 400.... PLEASE!!!!
As for myself, I DID NOT RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION!!!!

I have to agree with Robert.

In the first shootout they will compare the DS650 and 400EX, and all throughout the article mention how the 650 handles better, has faster acceleration, faster top speed, is more comfortable, more controllable, looks better, and is more appealing than the 400ex. In the summary say that even with all the things the 650 is better at, they just have to give the 400ex the win because it just seems better and they can't stand how the 650's stickers peeled off a little to easy.

Then the next issue they will do a another shootout titled, "FIRST TEST: Battle of the 600's!" It will be Grizzly VS DS650. The only place they will test it will be "their secret test track." They will say for no reason should anyone buy a Grizzly no matter what because the 650 is so much faster. The summary will say you would still be better off buying 400ex anyway.

I stretched it just a little (a little), but isn't this the foundation that Dirt Wheels was built on?

Now, I need some help. I can't seem to find any articles on the 400ex. Reviews, hop-guides, part suggestions, anything, I want them. I just can't find anything about the 400ex anywhere in any of the magazines! And I am sick & tired of seeing custom built 4x4 mud machines and rock crawlers!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA... that was a good one Adam..
Ya know, I was thumbing thru an old issue looking for a particular advertisement.... and it wasn't in there. Maybe you can help, I'm looking for a new pipe and muffler for my 400 EX... I'd like to find a jet kit too... and maybe some of those Baja 1000 winning skid plates...
