Cingular!!!!! actually recently cingular has seemed to drop off in the reception area... but personally id prolly go with verison over t-mobile... but thats jus cuz I used to be with version, then again, Sprint was the only one that I ever had good reception at Dumont Dunes with... dunno how this will help, but if you want to use us for info, Put towers where we ride!!! Dumont Dunes, Coral Pink, Glamis, Little Sahara, etc etc etc...

YFZ, the reason that you've probably seen a drop-off in quality with Cingular is because the sold off a bunch of their towers to get this... T-Mobile after the merger with AT&T Wireless. Basically they kept the AT&T towers as they already had both GSM & TDMA equipment. My phone still changes between showing AT&T Wireless and Cingular. (Always been a Cingular (GSM) customer). Now they are having to crowd both companies customers onto one company's tower. Well, not completely, but they got rid of a lot of "spare" capacity or where towers were close to each other.
One case I know of, AT&T's tower was a couple hundred feet from a Cingular tower.
Cingular and T-Mobile both use GSM service (850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz).
Verizon is TDMA. (AT&T's "Digital" network was TDMA, and there are some Cingular areas that are TDMA).
Sprint & Cricket are CDMA.
NexTel is iDen (Motorola's proprietary system).
