Sony Xplod/pioneer head unit, alpine/JL audio highs, Boss Audio Amps(awsome product for the price) low air space run kicker solo barics or if you have lots of room run some JL's, run power port sub box it pumps out 7 more db's than a sealed set up. One thing with stereo systems is that 90% of the time you get what you pay for so if you want a real good quality sound your looking at kickin down some dough.

 

And like I said before E-Bay. You'll probobly cut your price in half if your smart about it and they have alot of good stuff on there.

I know nothing about sytems, except they sound good. What would be a good smaller system for my tocoma, just to make it thump alittle?
I guess I'd need an amp, what are some small speakers that are good? What is a head unit and are subs?

Head unit is that thing in your dash and a sub is a speaker that produces very low fequencies.
