Ever see the movie, or read the book, "The Ox-Bow Incident," Adam?
A receipt should have the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN); also, if you write a check, put the VIN on the "Memo" line. Next time!
As a two-time victim (and two-time recoverer) of ATV theft, I certainly sympathize with you. How well I know the feeling of violation.
I hope you recover your property, and I hope something stops the thieves. Unless you move to Antarctica, you face this threat--and I'm not too sure about the neighborhood in Antarctica!

Check with Progressive Insurance. I pay $159 a year for full coverage with a $250 deductible and I live in Connecticut.
I too am sorry about your loss. Wish I could do more.

Hey man, I know how you must feel!
I've just had a burglary about 2 weeks ago, but fortunately they didn't steal my quad, just a lot of smaller stuff from my apartment (VCR, CD player, CDs, etc). It's the same thing, though. To realise that someone else has violated your right to own and enjoy your own property must surely be one of the most frustrating and unpleasant thoughts a guy could have. What I hate the most is how it threatens to change a guy's behaviour towards other people. Just look at how many people immediately think of your friends as suspects!
I'm really sorry for your loss, and I hope it can be recovered.

I feel for ya,That is really lame.
You may want to check that insurance again.Having been denied homeowner claims twice by insurance companys(who always say no)Their paid to say that.I checked with my budy who is an insurance adjuster, sure enough they were claimable.Call an adjuster give them your policy code and isurer's company name. And they will be able to tell you in about 1 minute if it's covered. For a percentage of cource, but thats just business.
Does anybody read that 40 pages of BS,or make sence of the paperwork you get from insurance companys.I think not.If you can't trust your agent whats the sence.
Good luck.Insured by dealer,$156.00 protected by browning,w/breniki slugs.

Slugs may be a bad choice if you have family or live in a populated area. Ever consider where that slug is going to go after it perforates the bad guy. At close range any bird shot would be a better choice and safer for the family and the neighbors. Try any flavor of birdshot on a 2x8 at 15-20 feet and see if you don't think it will do the job.

State Farm insures my 98 Warrior for theft/comp and collision with a $250 deductible for $14 per month. I figure it makes bailing off a little easier when sliding towards that cliff! You might also consider insuring it with a german shepherd and a Colt 1911A1 .45 auto!

Also have progressive I think mine is $125.00 per year. You said was to expensive how much did you lose. You said they couldn't do anything without # we had all that plus pics plus, plus, and plus.Anyway cops ended up with one of mine checked # on computer, nothing had entered wrong #.Just happen to have registration under seat in box.Thats only way sherlock holmes got it back to us.So you see how much good receipt or # do you. With KEYSTONE cops on job you don't have much chance to get them, unless you find them yourself.
