Just like a few here, I carry the stock tools on the quad, along with a pull strap. Fortunately, in all our years of riding, only had to tow our quads in twice and no amount of tools in the field would of helped

Stock tools, tow strap, duct tape and zip ties on the quad. Fix-a-flat and money in the Camelbak(and maybe a beverage or two)

Motion Pro Multi Tool (includes sockets, screw drivers, and large hex wrenches)
Leatherman Multi Tool (mostly for the pliers, wire cutters, and knife blade)
Stock Spark Plug Tool
Spare Spark Plug
Tow Strap
Tire Plug Kit and CO2 Inflators
I have never needed any of these for my own machines, but I am always repairing somebody else's bike out on the trail!

I dont ride a quad but carry a few tools in my fanny pack. 3/8 socket wrench(shortened to about 7" over all. 6,8,10,12,13,and 17 mm and a spark plug socket.Special combo box wrenches, a 6-8 combo, a 10-12 combo, a 13-14 combo and a 2 stroke 24 mm combo. Vice grips, fold out screw driver set, C02 cartridege for filling tires. Small channel lock pliers, a 8" crescent wrench modified to open to about 1.25 inches(approx 32mm)A small bag of misc 6,8mm nuts, bolts and washers etc, about 40 zip ties and 10' of safety wire. A almost used up roll of duct tape smashed flat. A lighter and water proof matches and a power bar. And finally a extra pair of gloves and a smith no fog cloth. For longer rides in unfamilar places I will also carry a space blanket. This may sound like over kill but if youve ever spent the night in the woods because of a break down or just running out of day light it is well worth it.
