The Astros are becoming a thorn in St. Louis's side, that's for sure.....but nothing more. Sox will win the World Series, I'm sure of that. However, as far as my birds go, we'll pick up Brian Giles and get Scotty Rolen back we'll be there again next year, believe it.

So when do they announce MVP and Cy Young anyway?

 

All National League honors were canceled this year. Paul Konerko was named the MLB MVP and the MLB Cy Young was a 4 way tie between the Sox starters.

Well I don't really know what you're talking about because both Carpenter and Pujols won CY Young & MVP, so looks like St. Louis deserves a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T after all[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Carpenter over Clemens? Nope. The ERA says it all and the Rocket had 9 starts where his team gave him 1 run or less.
Derek Lee had the better year with the bat and the glove, plus Lee only has Ramirez to protect him in the line up and Ramirez was hurt much of the season.

Of course the Cardinals players are great but the best TEAM in MLB won it all and it was refreshing to see.

TIn the end, the Cards were the biggest dissapointment in all of baseball this year. Even I thought they would win it all earlier in the year.

BTW, Nice game by the Rams today, lost to the Cards...........yikes. Looks like their run is officially over.
