He got killed on a quad, sad part is it was on something stupid. He was just blazing down a power line and a little bump turned him into a tree. He was care flighted but there was nothing they could do to stop the internal bleeding. It has been the roughest thing I have ever been thru. Not to mention the holidays have been rough.

Smoking
I quit for the 2nd time this past June. I smoked in High School until I was about 23 and quit........Then like an idiot, started started again when I was 31, and smoke for approx 2 years, and quit again. Before I quit this time, I slowed myself down to 5 ultra lights a day, then quit with the nicorette gum. About 5 peices of gum total and I had it kicked, ecept with the mental habit part. I was told that the nicotine addiction lasts 72 hours, then you are just dealing with the mental habit of thinking you need one because the body is used to reaching for one at certain times. Quit when you really WANT to, and vow to never touch one again. NEVER. One can put you right back on the wagon so to speak. You can do it if you want to.......I did twice. Quit right then. No regrets and back then, that added up to 365 dollars a year. Think of what you'd save with today's prices. Can buy extra mods or all kind of stuff.

I totally agree with you buddy. There are a lot of problems at my school. A lot of kids are tweaking, smoking weed, snorting cocaine, you name they've done it. I dont see why either. I am a freshman in highschool, and i dont drink. The big thing at our school is drinking. ALL of the kids who drink or smoke or do drugs all thing they are so tight, and i just look at them like they are idiots. Like they boast about taking 15 shots of Vodka or smoking 4 bowls, and i am like well i Guarantee you that i had a WAY better time tearing up the dunes on my quad. I find it so stupid to drink or do drugs, because it gets you ABSOLUTLEY no where. Its not fun, it doesnt taste good, it doesnt make you look cool, and most of all it messes up your brain, liver, and all sorts of stuff.

Where I live dipping and drinking is a huge problem with the kids my age so my school took care of the dipping part, they brough a guy in that had been dipping since he was 12 and at about the age of 18 he had to get his toung removed and his jaw reconstructed so that helped many of the kids at least say they were going to quit.
As for the drinking it is still a big problem, at the basketball game the other Friday night all anyone of the kids were talking about was the big party that everyone was going to. I don't drink, I just can't see the pleasure in drinking poisoin to get a "buzz" then the next morning wake up in your own vomit. It might be better in moderation but when everyone is talking about shotgunning 13 in a row I don't think that is moderation.
