I was impressed with Weboppers Polaris this weekend, it even had fox shocks. Im not a quad guy and didnt even start looking at them close until a couple of months ago. Just notice things like 20 yr old suspension technology and detuned engines. I just dont understand where all the money they cost goes.

Well they would say things like health care and benifets, or Lawyers for liability cases, but I'm sure most of it goes in someones pocket. Thats cool Polaris finally stepped up to the plate, they were putting Fox shocks in sleds years ago, I wonder what took them so long to make them standard on certain ATV's.

It is getting much better trust me, and it will continue to do so, still have ways to go tho. The engines will always be detuned, they have a rule stating they can't go over 75 mph from the factory.

I think the quads will always be de-tuned for a few reasons. One is the 3 wheeler fiasco in the 80's, the other is some of the quads get their technology from the dirt bikes.

they could just make a high hp quad and put sprockets on it that wont let it go oover 75mph.

That would still be to much power for the average rider. We don't want the lawsuits coming back.

they could cork up the muffler like they did to the yfz. that will take power away. the small front and big rear sprockets would bring speed down.

o and on the dyno a banshee goes like 76 or 77
