I usually call them a quad, ATV, Four wheeler, machine etc, not normally a bike. I hear it a good bit though.

Its not big deal really. I slip sometimes an call it a bike but really thats technically incorrect. The "bi" in bike mean 2, as in two wheels. Quads have four. I like the term quad because its defining I guess. If you say four wheeler that could mean any atv or a jeep or truck. ATV usually refers to utilities but I can stant it a lot more. Just my personal preference. Quad is really a suzuki term. Unfortanatly its also a west coast term. I get weird looks form people when I say quad and they dont know what I'm talking about. But this is kinda hick country. Oh well.

I like the hicks on the 4X4 section in Huevos 4. "Its not about the tiyaaas o da fowwwwhilla its about da MO menummm...."

 

I like to keep it on two wheels... so its really more of a bike. LOL

 

Using the term bike to refer to a ATV is like people embracing the phrase "I could care less". Willful ignorance is what it is called. They know better but they do it because it's easier or because they heard someone else do it.

 

I think its a regional thing as here there refered to at quads, 4 wheelers or atv's with bikes being the scrambler off road racing 2 wheelers.
