i want to paint the frame of my blaster, it's an aluminum frame, and i was wondering if you need to powercoat it, or if you can just use a compressor and paint gun and paint it.

Aluminum, obviously, can be painted with proper prep and primer work and be quite durable. I would think powder coating would be more durable however.

I'd go with the powdercoat. The paint would probably be cheaper in the beginning but the powdercoat will outlast several coats of paint.
