Default stealing personal info

hey guys remember when you'd type the word tough and it would turn into a polaris link? Well, it appears there's more ads like that again. Except now it seems to be done by a third party. Intellitxt.com keeps trying to dump cookies or steal my information. I have McAfee privacy service, and when I open a page on this site that has one of those ads my privacy service pops up and lets me know that they're trying to do that. The scary part is that they are trying to gather my personal information as well. My privacy service let's me block the information from going through if I choose. I'm glad I have it. Right before I typed this it was trying to get my computer to send my name to their site. This is awesome. If they try to get my email, they'd probably try to send me a bunch of junk email ads to me. They are an ad site I believe. I'll try a who is type search on them but I doubt I'll come up with anything. I'm also going to start a new topic on this.

Can you guys tell me if you're getting these type of ads. When they show up on mine, the words come up green with a double underline. I'm wondering if maybe it's just a virus on my computer. When you hover over it, the ad shows up.

I've been looking around. It's more than just that word, it's a ton of them. And they seem to keep changing. Sometimes words get turned into links, sometimes they don't. It looks like a search engine type format. They haven't tried stealing anything in a little while. Or my privacy service isn't working as it should. It's a mass ad agency based out of London.

It seems to ghetto for this forum to have put it on here intentionally. I wonder if their server caught a virus.

It is advertising that is supposed to be there. It's something that dbeck is trying out.

I hope he reads this then and sees that they are trying to steal personal info and dump cookies on your computer, without you even clicking on the links. We've had discussions on ads before and I've never been bothered by the ones like tough or the banners. But these guys? I imagine it's got to be easier for him, a whole lot less programming and a whole lot more ads to get paid for but I don't trust anybody trying to get my information without me entering it on a form myself. Especially an ad company. I give it a thumbs down.

If you are concerned about the ad just don't open the link and no info is transferred.

No, thats not true. If I open a page that even has an ad on it, it trys to send info. Like if there was an ad on this page and I opened the page but not the ad, my privacy service would pop up and tell me that intellitxt.com is trying to send my name or leave a cookie.

Since I've blocked them with privacy service, it says waiting for atvconnection.us.intellitxt.com
I haven't blocked the ads, just blocked them from getting my personal info without my permission.
