Broke my wrist-freak accident
#1
So I was riding a wheelie. The best I can figure is I ran over a small log which changed my direction right towards a pile of wood. As soon as th front end started coming down the left front wheel hit a stump. The impact broke my right wrist and started flipping me over the bars. I was still hanging on with my right hand, and grabbed my bumper when I was upside down so I was pretty much doing a handstand. I prevented myself from going over. I bent my left bar 3.5" forward and 1.75" down.
The dotor that checked me out today said she has only seen one other person break this particular bone. It's a hard bone to break, and a hard bone to heal. It's called the nevicular bone.

The doctor in the ER said a "normal" broken bone takes 4-6 weeks to heal, but this is a unique bone and will take longer. I was guessing about 8 weeks. Often with this bone surgery is required. It's also possible for the bone to die because of the limited blood flow to this particular bone.
I went to the specialist today and got the real cast. The good news is that the Dr. thinks I only have a 10-15% chance of needing surgery. The bad news is that I'll be in a cast for 12 f*^%$$%^ weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This sucks.
