Why would you need a belt fed weapon on the border? A border patrol agent equipped with an M16A2 would be more than sufficient. The maximum effective range of an M16 is 550 meters, or 1,804 feet! If they can see you, they can drop you!!

I'd kick in a few tax dollars to shut the borders.

No, I think he's helping illegals jump the border because there's jobs here that some americans don't want to do and that's a perfect excuse to justify their criminal activities because people like him find it more than acceptable. Somehow it's the politicians fault that they are illegally invading though too, so they should stop giving legal citizens rides to the polls. We wouldn't won't them voting for stricter laws to keep the illegals out.

There's going to be a show on the discovery channel about some new high tech "non lethal" weapons. That's the term they used but I believe the proper term is less than lethal. They showed a cool "sonic blaster" that they guy said felt like somebody was hitting your ears with a baseball bat, or something like that, and it appeared that it wasn't even turned up all the way and he was pretty far away. Install some of those half way up the wall, so if they get that far they'll just fall back down.
I had a couple of those sirens for a car alarm (that go in your car) that were supposed to make someones ears bleed if they stayed in there for more than 20 seconds or something like that. I never fired them off in a confined space, but out in the open they were ear piercing and I couldn't stand it for more than 5 seconds. I had big plans for those. I was going to make my own lock linkage, so I could put an extra servo to them that would disable the lock ****. I would have hooked both the deadbolt locking system and the ear bleeders to a delay relay off the alarm output. It would be mecanically held, so even if you disconnected the alarm after it started going off it wouldn't stop it. I wanted it to activate 10 seconds after alarm was sounded, giving the thief enough time to get in and close the doors. I would have had it run for 30 seconds, then unlock the doors for 5 seconds. If they didn't get out, they'd have to wait another 30 seconds. (Or break a window)

 

Thought I would chime in gentlemen. Besides a few extreme posts, most have excellent feedback for the thread. Georged can claim this illegal immogrant problem has been at least secretly endorsed for some of our people, employers, and our lawmakers as well........which is at least partially true. This is a self made mess. We do not need illegal aliens here in this country for the obvious reasons already stated. Although I am for sending every illegal back to where they came from, be it across the water or border, it will never happen. We have way to many bleeding hearts and we will offer plenty of "free" rides at this point in time. I guarantee 90% of the recent "illegal alien" protests (after all, this is what the protests are about) are being set up by extremists organizations.
Only thing to do is give them a grace period, get them in some history and english classes, teach them our laws, and our general customs. Then, make them US citizens when they have displayed the want to be legitimate US citizens. They can still celebrate their religions, customs, and languages all they want as long as they understand the foundation of this country and can function as any other AMERICAN citizen should be able to do. I have to admit I have not read all the post's on this thread. But what I have read I see a 50/50 on this topic. Seem's to me there must be quite A few bussiness people that have illegal's working for them at slave labor wages under the table, and breaking the labor law's themselves. I do not have any problem with legal imigrant's being here. I do have A problem with company's that hire slave labor in order to line their pocket's while slaping the American working class in the face. As well as their slave's. We have an immigration department in this country that turn's their head's to this problem. While our tax money pay's for this dept. Let's face it the Gov. doe's not run this country anymore the corp. And company's do. The only way to combat this is to start paying more attention to who lobbist's are talking to with our political leaders, Then cast your vote's from their. Special interest group's have no bussiness in our Gov. Not trying to step on anyone's toe's. Just my two cent's.

Hard to compete with China and India where labor is cheap. America is falling behind right now, perhaps when the Chinese and Inda people start demanding more wages so they can live at our current standards then perhaps we'll keep up to them. Right now they are sucking up massive amounts of oil and producing products at a massive growth rate. The US needs cheap labor, it always has...right or wrong they let mexico fill that role with loose borders. Enter 911...now we cannot afford loose borders due to the threat of terrorism. The outcry is for illegal immigration but is our goverment really concerned with the average mexician? If you ask me we need to get our business back home, import cheap labor and develop new oil free power. I think we need to farm more coal and run out the tree huggers preventing coal mining. So many interests lobbying our leaders pulls our govt in too many ways. I am not apposed to a wall, I think we need one. But we need to facilitate cheap labor, day workers would be best. Let them come into the US and work a factory on the border then commute back to mexico. We need to keep track of EVERYONE that comes and goes.
