There is this trend in the industry to build these huge heavy bigbore utes, and I think it could backfire as more and more folks get hurt on these machines. Remember, the government had no problem jumping in and eliminating 3-wheelers..................

I dont think the gov will interfere this time. The amount of people that own and ride atv's is ALOT higher than in the 80's. If they do, its because there is
a legit problem....right?

Wow that guy was lucky to walk away from that one! Hard to tell exactly how deep that rut is with all of the leaves and such, but it did appear the rider was on the brakes until the last second actually helping the atv flip forward. Hard for me to asume any atv would not have done the same thing if the rider acted in the same manner. The guy had to have noticed the rut if he was paying attention......he should have slowed down and crossed the rut in a safer manner. I think I would have wheelied on through.

I have a couple of problems here.
1. The obvious, NO HELMET.
2. Were they making a video this? because it was planned?
3. It looks like he hit the brakes when his tire slipped into the rut. Driver error.
4. He hit the brakes!
5. Did I mention he was not wearing a helmet?
6. How deep wat that rut?
I see a large heavy machine, no helmet, possibly unknown trail at too high a speed. All mistakes ANY body could make. But, NO helmet?

I have a Arctic Cat it's a 2006 AC 400 auto fis the rear suspention is stock on my ac , the one in this video has been lifted the space between the tire's , rack and fenders on the quad in this video look to be at least 4 Inch !!! The suspention space between the tires and fenders on my stock 400 AC is 4 inch less than the one in this video , It's true these AC utes are the tallest stock atv with the most ground clearance in the industry ; and that is the reason my 400 is and will stay stock ! And it has the stock wheels and tires that came with it from the show room floor , almost every - other new post i see on these forums are about mods to their new atv's ; bigger wheel's with taller tire's are the first mod in most cases before it leaves the dealer !!! MOD's, mod's and more mod's , make it bigger bader faster, will it pull wheelies ; and most of these guy's have never riden anything but sport and small utes ! My point is ? I've been riding ATV's since 1986 and my first atv was a 86' Honda TRX 350 Foreman 4x4 ute , the one with the huge/heavy straight axle front end ; i called it the "TEDDY R" The Rough Riding S.O.B. ever built !!!! I rolled it 3 times the first year i had it , and all 3 times . First time was i fault , didn't have enough seat time before trying something i should've known not to do ! The second time i let someone talk me into doing something i knew the Teddy couldn't do !!! Third and last time i got lost riding a game trail in the mountain's in deep wood's , got dark before i turned around to go back and lost the trail i came in on ; ended up going down a slifft and had the ram it into a tree to stop ! I rolled Teddy trying to turn around on side of slifft face instead of using the wrench to turn it around with me off atv , so you see all 3 times it was rider error and plain "ole" stupidity on my part !!!!!! " There Ain't Been A Horse That Ain't Been Rode" AND " There Ain't Been A Cowboy That Ain't Been Throwed" ..................williebee

This is why I personally don't like the single lever brake handle. When you squeeze the break handle, it applies 60% to the front breaks and 40% to the back breaks so when his right front tire dipped down, the front breaks stopped 1st thus lifting the back end up. And, this also seems the rider might be an inexperience rider.
