well, my dads friend who is an electrician came over to help install the grips....he said the connection weren't water tight...what did you guys use to make the conncetions watertight or waterproof?

 

Heres one way. Its not the prettest but works. Find a piece of rubber tubing. You want something close to the same diameter as your wires. Hardware stores should have something. Cut a piece about 2 inches long and slice it down one side. Fill it with silicone and wrap around your wires. Its not pretty but works well. We used to do this at work with wires that were in water all the time.
