Default Brake problem.. 2001 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4

I am having problem with the rear brakes. I bought this used and they did not work. I pulled the caliper and the pads were completely gone. I replaced the pads. The pistons in the caliper were not frozen and reset back with a c-clamp. I still have no tension on the brake arm. I opened the bleeder valve and fluid comes out. There is also no brake light when the arm is depressed. Any clue. I am thinking master cylinder seals. Thanks Bull
