Many farmers are using ATVs in their day to day operations. It's getting to be where seeing cattle being moved with horses is way less common than seeing ATVs being used. Checking fences, crops, irrigation and such are natural jobs for an ATV. Less expensive and easier to maintain than a horse and I have yet to have an ATV try to bite or kick me.

Our surveyors use an atv and a Polaris Ranger out in the field. Not every day, but it's at their disposal. The sheriff's office also uses 2 Polaris's to patrol the ohv parks. The local police dept. uses two enduros to patrol their parks along the river and creek through town along with various bike paths.
