Default First full day of riding tomorrow

I rode a bunch today araound some small local trails but tomorrow will be my first full day of riding. I am heading to Woolys Offroad Park just South of Nashville. I plan to wear old Kahkis, hiking boots, t-shirt, gloves, helmet, goggles, and camel back. I noticed riding today in shorts that my leg was getting scorched by the motor/exhaust. Hopefully pants helps a little. Anyone have suggestions for what I should bring or do?

Ohh, I almost forgot. Right now my tires are all at around 4 psi. I noticed when going over a log today that the fronts were pretty squished down. Is that okay or should I take the fronts to 5-6 psi?

I run 4 psi all the time. My tires seem to get the best wear at that. They do squish down some but not enough to pinch the tire.

i'd keep em around 4-6psi...any more and you risk loosing a tire to a rock or sharp stick.

you can get heat shields for the exhaust, or exhaust tape....but that looks pretty ugly.

I had a great day riding. Got there at 8am and clocked out at 3:30pm. Thank god for my camelbak. I drank all the water during my day of riding. I have never done that while mtn biking. With pants I couldn't even feel the exhaust. Warrior ran great with no issues. Can't wait to go again this weekend.

One thing you might want to consider is getting some Dirtbike pants. I used to ride dirtbikes and still have all my riding gear.. My Thor AC pants were only $100 or so and are great! feels like you are wearing sweat pants and they Breath so you don't sweat like you would think. I also still wear my motox boots... Alpine Star Tech-8's - amazing boot!

Camelback is a must!

Yeah I have thought about real riding pants. Right now I am using old khakis. But they do the job and are comfortable. I hate to pour money into something that I don't need.
