We use a Ford truck hood, and pull it with a Foreman or Prairie. It's big enough for two adults or several kids.

last week me and 3 friends hit the roads pulling eachother with a 50 footrope and tied to the end is a piece of pvc piping about 2 feet long which we used as a handle, it was great we even made jumps and put ply wood and it so you wouldnt sink in when you hit it and towed people and they let go and hit the jump. i have an 86 lt250r and was pullin my friend, he was on a snowboard, and took him downtown, we had a snow emergency, andmade jumps in the alleys, it was so much fun i cant wait till it snows good again.

last year on my mojave i had my bro tow me on a old Aly. pan sled and once we had a track you could get moving realy fast. Also you need a field to have the most fun and the longer the rop the faster you go (on sled) when the quad turns. I used a rope to the sled and then made a loop a little up from the sled to hold then on the straits you can let the rope pull the sled but when i hit a bend there was no way i could ever hang on with out having a loop on the rope (we would hit bends reved out in 4th and mid range 5th gear) o ya you must have good sealing cloths or you will get stuffed with snow and goggles and a good ski mask are a must (for how i was getting pulled) but make shure you are carefull not to go faster than some one wants because you could get hurt very bad. also at my uncles we had a row boat that we pulled behind a 400ex in huge fields all of the teens hade to help push to start is going but once the speed was up it pullit fine that was very fun also but not as good as the bends on a sled.

Be careful, One of my buddies and I use to do this with a snowboard and a snowmobile... have an aware driver on the machine, once the driver lets off the gas you end up going towards the machine.. not good, dumped it many many times...

Default Snow sledding behind a quad?

Reviving an OLD thread!

I've never seen this done. I would like to pull my 4 yr old (maybe a 2-seater with momma assisting) nice and slow around the neighborhood. There aren't any hills worth sledding in my neighborhood so that's why I'd like to try pulling it with the quad. I'm on a sport quad so do you hook the rope to the grab bar or what? About how long should the rope be? I don't want it too short so that the sled eats the quad when slowing to a stop but I don't want it too long that the turns are overly wide.
