Snow sledding behind a quad?
#1
Am I the only one who likes to snowsled behind a quad? We love it. My wife and kids have a blast. Ride as long as you want....no walking back up steep hills....it's awesome. I'm thinking of getting a ski rope and a snow board. Has anyone done this?

Every year my friends and I pull each other around in a sleigh on the back of my blaster. Last year, we used a little LT80 and it worked. It is really fun. I never used a Snowboard thoguh but do not seem why it wouldnt work.

Last year, we were doing that on top of a frozen lake. There was enough snow on the lake to get "some" traction. We used a long lope and an inner tube. Just be careful not to let them "rear end" you. We had the rope wrap around the axle a couple times, you just have to keep alert.

My wife, sister, sister's boyfriend, and I went knee boarding behind his pickup one year after a 12" snowstorm. We went right down the road at midnight. You could go up on the side banks (watch out for mailboxes!) and carve pretty nice arcs. Arms got tired quick because of the extra drag compared to water, but it was a blast.
I think I might have did something to my kneeboard though, the next summer on the lake, I wiped out and front half of the board folded downward causing me to do a highspeed face plant. You know, the one that puts lakewater under your eyelids... OUCH!

Hi,
I really want to try this. Being my first winter with an ATV, I have never pulled anyone on a sled but my brother and I thought it would be lots of fun. I just have one problem: recently, we have a snow storm (in NJ) which gave us a true 16" of snow. I don't know about you guys, but my Kodiak and Rancher are not getting traction in this deep snow. Is there something I can do or is the snow just too deep for an ATV? I didn't even think ATV's could get stuck. =P

When I was a kid, we had a round metal sled that we pulled behind the 90 ATC. It was great for going around turns and whipping the rider around for a great power slide. The other day I seen a couple of kids out in the field. One was on a trail boss pulling the other on a knee board. Looked like they were having fun. The snow is getting pretty deep here for the atvs unless you can find an open field where the snow has blown away most of the snow.
