Default Snow Plows

Well, it is getting close to that time of year, so I am thinking of putting a plow on my atv rather than buy a new blower.
What kind of information or brand best suits the needs.
Of course Warn is name branded, and may be the best, but what have the rest of you all been using, Cycle Country, Swisher, etc.
Would like imput on any type, problem, etc., concerning lift type.
I have a winch, but have heard alot of problems with lifting with winch and on my Rancher 420 the winch is rather low. Would like to go with an electric lift so I can vary the height, cause I will be plowing on some gravel.
Thanks

Default Snow Plows

I have a 48" Warn plow and I use a winch to lift it. I only plow snow in the winter so using a winch works just fine for me. You can get a manual lift so you can control the heighth easier if needed. I can't speak for the other brands or sizes but if you have sidewalks or a small driveway, the 48" works well. If I didn't have sidewalks, I would go larger. The Warn connects to a mounting plate underneath the center of the quad with two pins. It can be a pain in the butt to mount in the middle of winter if you have snow or ice buildup on the mounting plate, but, when the plow isn't on, you can barely tell the mounting plate is there. I don't regret buying the Warn plow system. Hope that helps. Welcome to the forums.
