Winches, wife bought me a Xmas winch
#1
I found out which winch my wife bought for me for a Xmas gift.
Xtreme 2000X submersion proof.
Now after looking at Venom, Gorilla, etc...
Where does this Xtreme winch fit in?
Is it good is it bad ? I know it is only 2000lb. but I think that is good enough.
but I have never heard of Xtreme before today.
any info?
She bought it on ebay That's how I found out, bank statement came today...
81.99 delivered sounds like a good price ( I hope)
thanks all
If it snows soon I might get it early

The Xtreme and Venom websites look EXACTLY alike. I have tried to find a connection and can't other than the fact that they have the same web site designer (ChannelAdvisor). The Xtreme Recovery web site is still under development so no "About Us" info is available yet. Venom appears to be made by or distrubuted almost exclusively through Kappers Fabricating and Powder Coating, Inc. I know Kappers makes and powder coats the mounts because several of you guys on this board have contacted them directly for your mounting needs.

Hooked it up,mounted & checked it out. works great That is the Xtreme 2000
I will take pictures in the am.
mounted the contactor in the headlight housing fits in there very nice. and out of the way and water too.

Early Christmas here, this is the Xtreme 2000X winch the wife got me.
Istalled and tried it out , worked like a champ wish I had the camera then.
I went to a friends farm where he has a big ole mud hole , actually it is a watering hole for catle and very marsh like now thick clay mud.
First time in was stuck about 2' deep sunk like quicksand.
Well lets try out the winchnothing happened, oh $hit what did I forget, we chked it before we sunk it, forgot to plug in the Anderson Connector. I added an Anderson connector to unplug the power while dirt riding or any riding for that matter and plug it in when needed . So plugged it up pulled me across the 20' mud bogg no problem. I mounted the winch on top and just to mention I really like it there, no bending over in the mud, no getting the winch full of mud and water, also the best part is It pulls and upward force so it kinda lifts you out of the bogg. up and over instead of pulling down deeper.
anyway here is a picture before we left home to sink her.
