If you want something cheap…. Check out Northern tool and Home Depot. Both companies have a trailer kits for less than $200.00. The biggest downside is they are very small.
I just bought a brand new Aluminum 5X8 with sides and 13'' tires at Northern. $640.00. They had a deal 10% off and no payments and interest for 6 months. I love it. It perfect, for one large utility and most of you gear. The 640 was with the discount.

Greetings,
Harbor Freight has some trailers on sale. On has 12" wheels which is about the smallest I would go for. You might want to avoid getting a trailer with very small wheels/tires. They are fine for taking your mower to the shop but are not as stable at speed -- plus I've heard numerous reports of the bearings burning out on the highway.
I bought a 12'X 6' landscape trailer for $1100. But a 6' or 7' trailer without the ramps should be about $500. It will be steel, not aluminum, and won't be fancy but it will have 13" wheels and be very stable.
As for the ramps, they are handy especially for loading stuff other than an ATV, but in most cases you can load without them or you can just buy inexpensive board-type ramps. And actually, I really don't like rolling down the road with those big mesh/screen ramps hoisted up into the wind. I can't exactly recall, but I think they added about $150 dollars to the cost -- so consider the option of going without.
I'd check at the local trailer dealer, you might be surprised at how inexpensive a basic model is.

Keep looking in the classifieds! As soon as you buy a new one, a GREAT deal will show up in the classifieds. Around here, there are always small ones in the paper for $150-400. gotta be quick to get them though.
I have a 6'6" x 16' landscaping trailer and have put 6 ATV's on it. A 300ex, a 250x, a Recon, a Timberwolf, (all sideways), a LT 80, and a Fourtrax 90 ( strapped to the gate in a upright position). That was enuff!
