whats the point in having a bumper weaker than the plastics?

I know, I think they try to make every thing out of light alloy. Since a 4x4 ATV weighs over 600lbs anyways who cares if the bumper is steel and weighs 40lbs.

yeah, that would make sense i guess...but that drops the safety though...
