Default How to jack up

I'm going to change brake pads and drain/bleed brake system. I just bought a Clymer manual. It doesn't show how to jack up or support my Polaris Sportsman for maintenance. I don't recall the owner's manual showing any diagram either.
What is the best way to get the four wheeler off the ground enough and support it without falling on me?

Bash plate or front diff is strong enough plus if if doubt always have a couple jack stands.Chock the rear wheels also.Do the reverse for the rear end. May be a little "over kill" pardon the pun,but better than having an atv on your leg.Just use common sense.

I usually jack it up by the skid plate and lower it onto concrete blocks so I don't have to worry about the jack slipping.
