hey chris.

I know what you mean about riding with people who love the view in second gear, lol. 65 degrees! man, i wont see that kind of heat for at least 6 months, haha. So, is death valley as nice as it sounds? heehee. the one thing i can say for michigan is, you got alot of differant riding experiances here. i can ride in 95 degree heat, and 5 months later ride in 0 degree weather with 2 feet of snow.( pays to own a nice plow for the quad) i get to do alot of mud bogging, like it or not ( during the spring thaw). and even get dusted out on the trails( usually in july) i would love to own a racing quad, but in michigan, it really pays to own a 4x4. You know what? it might pay to own a 4x4 where you are too! easier to get over the rubbel next time a big one starts shaking, (only joking) have a good one, and next time your in the dessert, send some sand my way, so i can reminesse, lol!

The big one huh!Just so happens that I live about 10 miles east of the San Andreas fault and 40 miles west of the Landers fault and several others that I cant think of at the moment.

So if California falls into the ocean at the San Andreas I'll send you some prime beach sand,If it falls at the Landers fault I'll have my own Gilligan's island.Maybe have the only atv riding spot on an island just off the coast of Ca!

CHRIS'

you live that close to the fault lines???? man, i worry about tornados, but chit!!! Buddy, if it ever does hit, i bet the remails of your property goes through the roof, being you'll be on the ocean then, lmao!!! I have seen 40 states, but never california. made it to colarado, then went south through arizona, ( might as well been a stove) in july no less, lol. i have to get out there some day, so i can see what all the fuss is about! it seems everyone either wants to go there, or live there, so i bet its quite the state! Well, be safe and if it starts shaking, head east, REAL QUICK!!!

Chris, we ride Wild Wash (exit off the I-15 between Barstow and Victorville, then go north about 1/2 mile to staging area), all the time during the cool months. HYR (Honda/Yamaha of Redlands) is sponsoring a ride up there on Feb. 9. They mark out a course, and serve lunch free! We also ride Rasor BLM open area (Rasor exit off the I-15 near Baker), but usually do overnights out there. We also do the San Bernardino Mtns. during the summers when the desert is hot. We would be glad to ride with you any time!! We usually have 4-20 riders, and a nice mix of quads and dirt bikes. wkelln@ahs.llumc.edu

I've been riding in the san bernardino mountains too.Weve done all the trails up there. We leave from my house in Apple valley and ride all the way up there! We have a friend in Crestline that lets us steal gas from him so we don't have to go all the way into town.

I want to ride to the Slash-X.I figure it's gotta be 60 miles one way from my house. Then from there get gas at the lenwood exit and ride home.We didn't trust my friends quad.Today we figured out that the cdi box is bad.Sometimes the bike would just quit, tap on the box and it runs again. So as soon as she gets a new one we should be ready.

I have a 2001 Mojave and they seem to be pretty rare around here so keep an eye out for me.
