I've been looking for a way to keep my speedometer lens from getting all of those scratches and fine lines through it that make it almost impossible to see. I got a Palm Pilot for Christmas and I was looking at accessories for it and they have screen protectors available in a variety of sizes for different models of palm pilots. I tried one on my 650 readout lens and it works great. It should keep the lens from getting scratched and you can wipe mud and dirt off without worrying about scratching the lens. I peeled the film back off after riding the other day and it left no residue behind. They come in a package of 12 for right around 20$ and 1 should last a very long time.

Sounds like a great idea. The price is a little steep, though. Wonder if a plastic specialty store would have sheets that you could cut to size? Just a thought. Thanx for the tip.

just put a piece of clear tape over the lins and pull it off when it gets dirty..that way is alot cheaper

I thought about just tapeing the lens but tape just wasnt transparent enough and I thought in the heat of the summer the adhesive of the tape would leave enough residue behind to just cause what I didnt want. I thought the price was abit high also but from what I've seen so far a package of 12 should last a couple years.

By the way the palm pilot screen protectors cut down on glare also.
