Considering buying a winch to use with the Warn Multi-Mount or Montana Jacks system. Either the Warn A2500 or Ramsey 2500 will be my choice but which one? With the best prices I've found only about $40 separates the two so thats not a big deal. With Ramsey you get the wireless remote however that strikes me as not as easy to use as it may seem. If you were actually trying to get out of a muddy situation I would think the Warn setup with the "wired" remote with a larger button would be easier to use. It also seems like the toggle switch with the Ramsey may be hard to use if you were on the ATV while winching it out. I've never owned or operated a winch before so any help will be greatly appreciated. Also I don't plan to use the winch to get places rather I ride by myself often so its more for getting out of trouble. Thanks

Get the Ramsey. You will love the wireless remote and there is a toggle also, so you get the best of both worlds.

 

haha i bet you can't say "which winch" 5 times fast!

 

Is the switch a large one like the 2000 warn or is it a small one for use on the handle bars so you can use a plow with it?

The switch on the Ramsey is a small toggle switch. The remote switch looks just like a car alarm fob.
