FYI,
I am trying some of your methods.

We went ridding Sat. and it was muddy. So muddy I did not want to ride but it was a two hour drive and none of us had ever been to this area. So muddy that I had to drag my sons lt80 back to the truck. I hope we never get that muddy again. We spent as much time cleaning up as we did ridding.
I sprayed WD40 on the night before. I do not now if it helped getting the mud off and after the motor warmed up it smelled for about an hour. I am going to try Mud Off next time. We got home late so, for the first time I left the quads out all night. It rained so that helped to keep the mud soft. We spent an hour with the garden hose. Then I used the Wisk solution. I think it helped a little on the quads but it really worked well on our gear. I just hung our pants and things over the bed of the truck and hosed them off then used the Wisk and hosed them off again, worked great. Your wife and washer will thank you.
One thing I did learn is to much mud is to much work.

Hello,

I've never tried Mudd Off, but anything that will help.. I just ordered some from a place on the web. I looked at a couple different places, including Dennis Kirk. This place was WAY cheaper. I paid 1.25 per 22 oz bottle. I'll put the link below. Thanks for the info.

WD40 worked great after washing it off. The can says that it displaces moister on flooded machinery, need I say more.
Original armor all did the best on the plastic.
