Light Duty Riding Gear, Does it Exist?
#1
I have answer ASX motorcross boots and I'm looking for some kind of riding boot that is not so heavy duty and thick, that would be adequate for non-race riding, like sport riding on trails. The boots I have are so thick I had to raise the shift lever about an inch to get the boot underneath to shifter. Also, I cannot feel the shift lever when shifting. Not only that but the boots have hard plastic on the sides that are wearing away at the finish on the ATV motor, exhaust shield and seat.
I also have answer edge riding pants. They are way too thick, heavy and baggy. They feel like I'm wearing a snowsuit for 30 below weather! There is a liner that "sticks" to my legs preventing them from breathing. I am riding in 60 degree weather and I'm hot in them already. The temperature can reach 110 in the summer so I need something different. Also, the pants wear away at my yellow seat cover and transfer the dark colors to it requiring weekly scrubbing with dish soap and a toothbrush.
I haven't yet bought a jersey. Again I'm looking for something light duty that breathes well for 110 degree weather. So far, all I've found is an answer Air Flo Jersey.
Unfortunately, not many dealers carry much gear so I can't simply shop around until I find what I'm looking for. Before I order new gear from a catalog or web site, I'd like to be sure it is going to be what I'm looking for.

I just got a new Dennis Kirk catalog and in there Moose has a new riding pant and jersey called "Sahara" series. Supposed to be real lightweight and breathable. That may be what us Texans need in the summer. They come in blue, stealth(kinda grey) and white.
