hey all-
i was just wondering, in ur town, what kind of quads/dirt bikes to people have, who has 'em and stuff like that....where I live, in millbrook, there is a 16year old w/2002 warrior, his dad has a scrambler 400 4x4, and his brother and sister have E-ton 90's, and then there is another son who has a YZ250, and a YZ426f, a kid with an xr100, another with a tt-r-125, my friend has an xr80, and his dad has a WR400f, i have a yz125(looking for a quad, going to sell mine, need a quad, under $1200, 200+cc, 1985 or newer) and my other friends just bought a 2002 rancher, and i think thats it......just curious as to what people ride in ur area......

Greetings from Ocala, Florida.... Most around here have Honda 400EX's, 300's, Raptors, Banshee's, Blasters, Warriors mostly sport type quads. However in the last year or so i've seen quite a number of the 4 wheel drives coming on the scene. Our riding areas are mostly deep sand and relatively flat.

yep you are right its happening here as well. Where there were essentially all sport quads, we are seeing more utes. But where do they ride? i rarely see them where i go.....perhaps they're doing circles in a pit or climbing a mountain.... have never got a ute guy to ride my raptor, either, and i've offered. "No thanks" i dont want to question my decision is the usual answer.
But i've worked on lots of geo trackers and suzuki samurais and i just cant see buying something nearly as large and heavy.
Fortunately, to each his own, who knows? maybe i'll have to get towed out by one someday. then i'll be glad they're here. I am curious to ride one, tho, if even for a few feet like i rode friends warrior.
theres still enuf deserrt rat in me to want to go fast....and maybe i'll think about those others later.....no doubt theyre good machines, theyre just not my kinda machine.
It's a "thousand island" or "Ranch" sorta thing. havent run across an a##hole in the whole bunch yet. altogether, nice folks. have fun!

I live dead in the center of Hondaland. Almost everyone rides a Honda here. On the rare occasion you see something else its usually a flagship quad like my Prairie, a Vinson, Raptor, Baja, etc. I would go as far as to say that 70 to 75 percent of the quads here are Honda and you see a lot of quads here, on a typical ride you'll see 40 or more before the day is done.
