A lightning can beat a regular 6 speed Corvette? Whats the 0-60 time on a lightning?

 

A stock Lightning will be a stock Vette? How bout a ZR1? Or Z06?

That I'd have to see.

 

I know it won't beat a ZR-1 or Z06 but im curious about a regular, the regular aint much slower with 350hp.

 

I dought a ZR-1 or Z06 (thats with a stock G2L), but a LT1 vette....yes. 0-60 times...I'm not sure (maybe 4.8 or so depending on driver)...I can tell you what I see at the dragstrip..which I do frequent. A LT1 Vette will run mid 13s, likewise with a Generation 2 Lightning. Now heads up racing on the street I'd say these vehicles would even out .....a good driver is always #1 in my book....alot of people have fast cars, but hooking up and running quick numbers (0-60...or 1/4 mile) takes skill. My brother has a 94 Vette LT1 (6spd) and I wouldn't second guess running him in my 93 Lightning. If you guys are wondering what the Lightnings will do checkout www.NLOC.net (look at the dragstrip times....in Generation 1 I'm listed as B4THUNDER), I'm not trying to be cocky, (I hate jerk offs that think they've got the fastest/greatest car...theres always someone faster!), or talk out of my butt....I'm just letting ya'll know these trucks are all they're cracked up to be. I know better than racing the new Lightning with my Generation 1 Lightning.....they'd take my lunch money.......thats til they meet up with my Mustang....lol.

See if this works....link to a Z06 being beat by a G1 LIGHTNING....no the Lightning isn't stock, its cool though to see a pickup smoke a Z06

Well guys on another topic im curios about. It's called viper vs vette. Whats the better choice and why? I mean money for money the vette maybe? The Viper just is fast as hell and meaner looking. I don't know which i Like better but help me decide. Tell me guys whats the better one?

 

Get the Vette, cheaper, its a Chevy hah, and the Viper aint much faster. Which I dont think the Viper is faster than the Z06 0-60!!! Get the first American Sports Car ever made, will be worth much more in the future!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Chevy has got something for the Corvette coming up 2004, Better breathing for that beastly LS6!!! More HP coming in that light body! Means you will get killed a whole lot faster also!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I wouldn't be hesitant to say that the new 2004 Lightning could keep right up with that Z06...but we'll see

 

the hemi has alot more towing power then the ford. the ford will smoke it off the line. its your choice, but remember its not just dodge vs. ford, its also gas vs. diesel.

 

well the Lightining i saw in Car and Driver i think it was with 500hp i hope so. So there going to make there truck faster than all there mustangs?
