raptorjay...fyi...the 71 and 72 c10's are almost identical...the difference being that the 72 had front disc brakes where the 71 had four drums...after 72..they changed the style to what ran from 73-79...then they changed again with the 80-87 models...imo..the the 73-79 are the best looking after 72

Quadrasteer is a $5000 pile of crap. It makes a noticable difference in handling charachteristics, so much so that you can no longer drive it like a rwd vehicle. It is just twice as many half shafts and u joints that can go out on you, not to mention problems with larger rear tires and turning ability. The system also decreases the weight the vehicle can reliably tow or haul, because a solid axle is simply stronger. My father has a 2002 Sierra Z71. We test drove the Denali truck, and took it home for a few days. We were not impressed for a 40,000 dollar truck. Solid axle is better, IMO.
