Which race gas to run??
#2
What kind of mods do u have done to your bike. Also who did your port and polish work they can tell you what to run in your bike. If you just have stock heads and cylinders i would not reccommend race fuel. I have a TC405ex and i run vp 114 if i were to run regular gas in the bike(which i wont) the motor would pre ignite the gas before it needs to and the bike would nt run properly

Agreed, racing fuel or high-octane fuel in general for that matter should only be used with high compression engines.
For example, for muscle cars, you can generally run 10.5:1 on pump gas (93 octane) But, if I were trying to run a higher timing on my engine it would start to spark knock or predetonate (very bad, you could burn a hole in the piston). To be running 110-114 octane you should have at least 12:1 or higher for a comp ratio.
Using a compression checker 120psi is around 8.5:1
So, 12:1 should be around 160+ psi easy.
Regarding which brand, I like 76, it's all a matter of preference, bike, and engine. Run what you feel is best.

There is a complete list of racing fuels with a dyno sheet on how much HP and Torque you'll gain with each on:

Has anyone run Turbo Blue?
I checked out the web site, and did not see it listed there. Back in my race car days, Turbo Blue was the fuel that we ran. It smelled great, but I was wondering if anyone used it in their quads?
I know a supplier for this fuel, that is why I asked.
I have heard that VP fuel is made more for bike motors, is this true?

Sorry, haven't heard of Turbo Blue. Actually I'm kinda worried that you enjoy the smell so much! LOL
In my opinion engines are engines, fuel shouldn't matter unless we're talking performance (cams, comp ratio, etc.) then it's just a matter of octane.
I believe pump fuel is much like Standard motor oil...Valvoline, Quaker, Kendall, it's all the same to me, yet each of us have our preference or "comfort level" with which one we like. I say try it and if you don't like it, try something else!
It's not going to kill ya.
