Default Rejetting Wolverine

I just got a High Performance Kit for my Wolverine from Highlifter Products, with a Supertrapp IDS and K&N Filter. There are two jets in the kit, a 150 and a 155(or 160/165?), I don't remember at this point, but I assume either gets me in the ballpark, but there are no instructions or suggestions included in the package.

Question... I've never been into the carb on this machine. Can anyone provide any guidance on jetting this machine? A) Do I need to remove gas tank, etc to replace this jet? and does anyone recommend starting with any particular needle jet position, or leave as is?
and B) I'm in Florida with trips to North Louisiana, which jet should I start with? The larger or smaller jet?

Thanks for any help or instruction on this.
DH

I cannopt help much on the getting to the carb, but it should be fairly easy. My friend has a Wolverine and as I remember it is pretty easy to get to aftwer removing the airbox. Anyway, always start with the largest jet. The needle clip position rarely needs to be changed, so it should be ok. Read this link on jetting for some good info and a glimpse into how to make it all work. If that link is not enough, let me know and I will be happy to post some more. Eric Gorr

Thanks Eric. Yea it's actually not going to be difficult now that I' looked at it last night. I have the exhaust on and will put the jet in tonight. So I'm just going to put the in the 165 jet they sent, leave everything else alone except new plug, exhaust, K&N Filter, and see how it does.

Thanks,
Dave H
