Default best donor frame

i have a gsxr 600 motor complete and i need to know which would be the best donor frame for making this swap. i am working with a guiy that has extensive knowlege about fabrication and he owns a 5 second funny car. i know a funny car is not an atv but he is definitly mechanically gifted . if anyone knows which kind of frame would be the best it would be muchly appreciated. i dont want to spend alot of money on a bike that im just going to tkae the engine out and rip it up so i was wondering about a lt250 or banshee or nething.

I have personally seen 2 different LT250 Quadracers with a CBR600 and one with a R1 Yamaha 600. Fit real nice with little modifications. They told me they just cut the middle section out and built it around the engine. Hope this helps any,Bubba

if youve got a friend whos a capable fabricator why not stick with the bike frame and make a custom subframe to stick on the front,

if your after building a proper custom job it might be the way to go

i know its been done cos theres a company in the uk who make Race quads out of the honda CR500 mx bike

and there verry nice piece of kit

called WASP

I could see on a big single why you would have vibration problems but with a 4 cylinder street bike engine I don't see an issue with vibration. They're smoother than smooth... at least the ones that I've had experience with.

I envy you!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting to find an engine like that myself!! Should be an absolute blast to run!!!

Good luck!!

I used a blaster frame for mine. I would use a banshee or anything with disc brakes so you can stop the thing. As far as using the whole bike and making a quad. It doesn't really look like a quad when finished.

My 2cents

Cheers
