Which was the fastest 2 stroke 3 wheeler?

The Tecate was the fastest out of the box. My friend has a mint 86 and it rips. It'll outpace a stock 250R in a heartbeat. They have a lower rear center of gravity too. You can rip that thing aroung corners easily. I think that the 250R has more room for improvement though. There are more mods that can be done to make the bike faster. Overall, I would still rate the Honda as king of the threehweeler.
Race bike:
86 ATC250R, FTZ port and polish, decked, 16cc dome DYNO head, boyessen rad valve w/ carbon fiber reeds, 89 style pro-series rod w/ spacer plate and .80 over 86 style pro-X piston, 38mm over to 39mm Mikuni w/ fuel pump on Alcohol, K&N, Paul Turner Hi-Rev pipe and silencer. PVL digital ignition (no flywheel).
Woods Bike:
85 ATC250R 120 over Wiseco Pro-lite piston, shaved head, decked, Boyessen reeds w/spacer, 39 Kehin PWK on a diet of VP, K&N, DG (I know it sucks) pipe and silencer
Both beat Tecates, Lt's, Tri-Z's, Banshees, other ATC's

I had an 86 ATC 250R with a few small mods(FMF pipe, Boyesen Reeds, K&N filter). Anyway, my cousin has an 84 Tecate pretty much stock. About 90% of the time we drag raced he would win untill I would hit 5th and 6th gears, then I would pull ahead. The honda had another gear and another 5 mph on the Tecate but the Kawi had more acceleration on the start. I also rode a mint/stock Tri-Z last year that some old guy owned. It seemed to have good mid-range but that was about it. Also the gastank was under the seat which made it wheelie too easy and the stock pipe got in the way when shifting. The honda was with out doubt the best looking of the three!

I HAD A 86 TRI- Z WITH SOME MODS, SHAVED HEAD,30 OVER WIESCO, MINOR PORT & POLISH WORK , DG PIPE ,
CARB WORK BY ED. IT COULD KEEP UP WITH A STOCK '89 BANSHEE FOR A 100 YRDS OR SO, JUST DEPENDED ON HOW WELL IT HOOKED UP IN THE DRAGG,THOSE YAMAHA BANSHEE'S REALLY SPIN ALOT. IT'S A DOWN FALL TO HAVE TO MUCH POWER IF YOU CAN'T GET IT TO THE GROUND.

I have two 86 250r's and they are awsome I ride in florence oregon alot it is 20 miles of sand dunes, anyway we would be sitting on top of what they call compitition hill and all of a soden here would come a banshee an average one and he would say do you wont to race I said sure so what we do is go down to the bottom of the hill race up it and down the back side and back up it to the top, on the back side is a really narrow strip it is about 4 foot wide so you cant get a run at the hill you start at the base of it but to get to the end of the story I could blow the banshees away like nothin.
