carb adjustment
#1
Brandon, OhtonRacing, BackCountry and any other speed lover... I adjusted my carb to allow the slides to go up as high as the adjuster will allow. The nut and adjuster screw at the top of the motion pro twist throttle carb cap. They are barely attached to the carb cap cause of how high I needed to turn them out. I can get it to run but it still idles to low, eventually cutting out after about 10 seconds. I want to know where or how should I know where my air screw should be? I started with two turns out and then went to 4. Could adjusting the air screw help my idle since I don't have the idle adjuster screw anymore? I haven't checked on the screw that OhtonRacing suggested yet.

I would strongly suggest to view the following page:
http://bombardierds650.com/
Regardless if it's for the DS650 they have an EXCELLENT article on jetting / tuning carbs! It's right under the "What's New" in the middle of the page.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for that KawasakiKid.. I got a KX500 too..
Fakie99, they don't sell it together, it's separate. OhtonRacing told me about it and I emailed MotionPro and they told me more about it. It sells for 30 bucks at Magic's.. Gee.. I bought my twist throttle from Magic's, you'd think they would have told me about it.. I didn't think the idle screws were in those TORS.... oh well.. I put it on last night but didn't grind off enough of the side, will finish it tonight. If anyone reads this, the instructions say to grind off enough material to leave 3/4 inch of the tube, grind another 1/4 off to give yourself more adjustment. 3/4 is not enough.. You only need a good file to do it, the kit comes with the drill bit and tap. Not that difficult, just a little time consuming.
Thanks for the replies. OhtonRacing thanks for pointing me in the right direction..
