What are some of the tweaks that you can do to a stock banshee without spending lots of money? I would really like to know if you can do anything to it as it sits. Timing, plug gaps, jets, mixture and so forth.

I would say one of the first things u can do is get rid of the factory airfilter and put in a k&n it usually costs around $35. If you don't run in alot of water you can even get the hit to get rid of the airbox and mount the filters right on the carbs. Another thing that i found is replacing the chain roller on the swingarm with a slider from T+M Designworks it moves with teh swingarm and keeps the power to the ground. This is all that I have done besides new plugs and running a 32:1 mixture and I think u wull feel a difference.. Hope this helps

Heard alot about the aftermarket filters and was debating on those. There are alot of debate over using these, but I think for running on a track they would be ok, do you think? I have put a $17 sprocket on the front which took it down one tooth. This has help my low end tremendously, but still doesnt give me the boost I need before hitting the powerband. Also could you explain a little more on the slider for the chain. I dont understand the concept of keeping power on the ground. Where would one get this replacements as well.

Aftermarket filters are better then stock whether it is foam or a K&N. Second the slider which sits right on the swingarm pivot moves with the swingarm up and down which cuts down on chain slack allowing for better traction. I bought mine from JLATV products. There are 2 versions available and one is so tough it has a warranty not to wear.

My friend has a 14tooth front, and on my acre, its too fast still. 3rd gear max.
And for traction, just blip the throttle a little and dont pin it like you are probly doing. I know its tough not to, but you will go faster if you hook up more.

I have some fmf ram valves that I only used a few months that dramatically increase the lowend. I will sell them for $50. If interested give me an email.
