what are the perpose of nerf bars, thats just about the only excessory that i dont know about on quads.

 

They offer protection from other quads when racing and usually offer better footing and protection when doing normal riding.

 

When riding in the woods they will keep the rear end from hitting a tree when cornering. Also, by doing this it will cause the rear axle bearing to last a little longer. The reason for this is that the bearing are gettting less force on them from the tire hitting a tree when cornering.

 

but i mean do u like stand on them or what like when your casually riding?

 

no u don't. the nerf bars r there primarilly to keep you from running over your feet if they come off the footpegs. not all nerf bars stick out far enough to protect your tires. mine stick out mabe an inch, and they don't cover the rear tires. they also look cool!

 

i am thinking about buying some nurfs for my 400, would it be a wast of money or a good investment?

when i bought the nerfs on the internet, it says under quantity that i bough two, does that mean two sets or did i switch it to one and only buy one side. please i really need help cause i just ordered them so let me know.
