Default gt750 quad

Well, I am getting close to having all my fab work done, finally. Mounted a gt750 engine into a 230quadrunner frame. Got my gearing right finally. I ended up with a 12/55 combo with 22" holeshot copys. Right now it will top out at about 110 or so. My question is about paddle tires. Around the time it hit 3rd gear I notice that my tires get taller and narrower. That is the reason for the gearing I am running right now. Will hauler type tires do the same thing(get taller with speed)?
All I really have left is making a couple of front fender braces and a chair clider for the back sprocket. After that I am gonna ride it a few times and check for any problems. So far I have ridden it about 5 hours with no problems Once I am satisfied with my fab work, its time to tear it all back down and apply the finishing touches and paint.
75 gt750 engine(stock for now
87 230 quadrunner frame(not even close to stock)
+10 swing arm
22" holeshot copys
750gsxr rear shock, no linkage
12/55 gearing
03 ltz400 plastic
3 fmf fatty pipes off of 250r

when you put the LTZ plastic on your quad, did you change your gas tank over as well?

Yes, I changed the tank and seat. As soon as I get a little time I will try to post a few pics of it. This has been a very challenging but fun project. Its seems like everytime I mounted one component, I would have to modify another thing or two, lol. Right now, the only thing that is unmodified is the front a-arms and shocks.

i bought a brand new suzuki gt 750 in 1975. that thing would scream. all my buds had 750 hondas and the old water buffalo would smoke them. the only bad thing was if the chain got just a little loose it would break the sending unit for the digital gear indicator and you would lose all your gear oil. i have an old suzuk quadsport with a locked up motor, i would love to do a swap like you have done. i see you live in breaus bridge, we have ran the mx track there many times. it is my sons favorite track in this area. we are going to try and make it for this months race. sounds like you have an awesome machine.

I love gravity alley, I take my z400 there sometimes. It has been a while though. With my job, I get most of my free time during the winter, thats why it is taking me soooo long to finish this project. Let me know when yall come to town and maybe we can hook up. Hopefully this weekend i will have enough time to post the pics. Patrick
