Which Banshee Pipe?? Im stuck!
#1
I want to get rid of my stock pipes fast. I just bought the Banshee it's a 1995.
I can't decide on pipes,
I am considering Toomey's the most, LRD second, and haven't decided on a 3rd choice.
Maybe you can help me out,
What pipes are the best performance wise? I am leaning towards a pipe that will bring more TOP end than Low end.
I know the LRD's are adjustable, but when they are set on top end, compared to toomey pipes what one pulls harder and longer, or makes the most h.p.?
and do you have any other recommendations on pipes.
thanks for any help,
Brent

Look into the new FMF SST pipes and silencers. They are designed for topend. I have the Fattys. I have a friend that works at Alba Yamaha in Poway Ca. He convinced me to get the Fattys and I am really happy with them. Toomey and FMF Fattys are pretty much the same besides the sound. I have raced many Toomeys and other FMF's and a few others up the hills at Glamis. The person that gets the whole shot wins. None gains or lozes ground unless they make a riding error.

I just bolted on some Pro Curcuit pipes onto my 2000 banshee, They sound really cool and the fit and finish is first rate...They look cool to : )
I also added a pro flow kit. I havent changed the jetting yet...What would you guys recomend for jetting? I just want something to make it run good all year and not have to worry about being lean. Oh yeah...I am at sea level.
Thanx

I have Paul Turner pipes on mine(mid range) and for all around riding they are great. If I were doing only sand dunes or drag racing I would go with some top end pipes, but for anything else, the mid range pipes are very nice.

Go with the FMF, if your on a budget. I bought the Banshee Power Package from Magic Racing for $570. THis included the FMF FAttys/Power Core 2, Boyesen 2 stage reeds, Reed spacer, and boost bottle. This package really woke my 99 up and I figure I won 80% of my races over the Memorial day Weekend. You cant even get the Paul Turners, Toomey, or LRD for that price, let alone the rest of the stuff. IF money is no object, go with the Toomeys or LRD (although you still are gonna need other performance mods if you wanna beat a similarly equipped banshee). I have a friend who had been talking all this smack about his Paul Turners and was giving me a hard time for ordering the FMF's, until of course I smoked him about 20 times. I will say this, that triple chrome plating looks AWESOME! His pipes look great still. Totally shiny. But then again, Chrome dont get you home...

Roostking,
Does magic racing have a website, and does it come with the boyesen reeds and the cage or the reeds and you use your stock reed cage?
and my banshee motor just blew over the weekend, so i am on a budget now and would like to spend in the 4's for pipes and silencers. I now think i will get fmf's new SST pipes + silencers.

I have the FMF Fatty's and they work great. My riding buddy and I have similar set ups engine wise except he has the T5's, and we are side by side for the entire race (about 1000 ft.). I got my pipes and silencers from Western ATV in OK. cost me $355. That was the best price I could find anywhere. I don't have there number on hand, but that will get you started. Like the guy said, chrome don't get ya home. The nickle plating on the FMF's is not the BEST, but it is ok., for $150 or more less than the T5'S the FMF's are definately worth it. Later.
