Engine Swap
#5
There's many hours and many dollars to be spent doing an engine swap. The intial cost of the engine to do the transplant, including all the electrics, carbs, filters, expansion chamber modifications to get it to fit your chassis.....Then the fabrication involved in getting the engine to fit...It's not out of the realm of doing, it's just, Brandon is right, a transplant is most likely to cost far more than simply "building" your current engine up......

CT240 Kit.
Everything you need to make you blaster totally scream!
only $879.
but then you get a quad that is moving out and you can't keep it under control. Next thing is Longer axle, shocks, Longer Swingarm, and longer A-Arms. And offset wheels. That would probably have you set.
But it's more trouble than the it's worth to me. Unless you have a bottomless wallet.

I definately don't agree with the engine swap idea. Then again, he's right, either way you're looking at a lot of money. It would probably be cheaper to sell your Blaster and buy a Warrior, Banshee, or (gasp) a Honda. I know you said you don't want a different quad but the Blaster frame is a little small for a lot of power. Although I do have to admit I have actually had to compete with a couple of Blasters.
