HP difference between 416 and 426?
well i am building either a 416 or a 426 ex. its goign to have a stage 2 hot cam with 11:1 compression. now how much more HP with the 426 have over the 416? the only reason i don't want to go with the 426 is becasut the cylinder walls are bored to the max. and maybe melt down. also which one is more reliable? and the head is going to get poarted and i think heavy dutty gasket kit..

Ranger400ex, click on my photo's. There is a Dyno sheet of 4 ex's 416, 2-425's and one 435. the HP on the 416 and 425 with the same stuff is really nothing. The top green is 416 with stg2 Hotcam, ported 11.4:1 Biggun exhaust and CDI. The red is a 425 with stg 2 Hotcam, ported 11.4:1 R4 White Bros exhaust.
The green line that goes to 10200 RPM is the 435cc same stuff as 425 but only 10.3:1 comp. 440's love to rev. The more over square the engine (bigger bore then stroke) the more they like to rev (if you have enough cylinder head.
