Now there's a man that can do the talking. For all of you who thinks his is best and the other sucks.....get a clue!!! Ask the man with both machines, he'll be able to tell you what you want to know and have actual experience of stock on stock, stock on mod, and mod on mod for these bikes.

There's no doubt that the Scrambler is a dated design. Trying to compare that design to the latest sport bikes out there is like trying to compare a Banshee to the new 400's, 450's, 500's, and so on. The suspensions have not change from the first day they hit the market, there is no way you're gonna get the type of control that modern technology has put in the latest generation of quads.

So it all comes back to the age old question, what do you want to do with your quad? 'Nuff said, however.........if you want to talk smack, let's go!!

Just remember it's all in good fun and it's been proven in a Johns Hoppin' Universe study that people who drive Polaris ATV's have a higher IQ.

To every man his own machine. I raced in the Utility Unlimited class at the Ironman GNCC in which I rode my scrambler it got ate up by the v-forces off the start and in the fields. However when it came to woods, I was able to keep up quite well. I have recently thought about ditchin the polaris for a team green machine. However, I remember why I bought the 4x4 in the first place, I was tired of being stuck all the time. Yes, the v-force will take just about any scrambler in a drag but when it comes to woods and trails handling is more important. I am currently lookin into a 600 kit from FST. I will let you all know how that does. Oh yeah and if ur all there I will c ya in Texas. Good luck to everyone. Oh yeah as for the the guy on this post that was talkin about Polaris being behind with their quads it is true. The just came out with a competitve race quad two years ago. However look for one of those 700 v-twin sportsman motors in a scrambler soon.

Scramrider52- Please let us know how the FST 600 kit works out. There are a few of us that have been considering it, but would like some more feedback on it

I've decided to wait on the 600 kit. Unless I can get some real numbers on it from someone, I'll probably wait and see if there is a new Scrambler comin out soon. I'd rather put my pennies toward that if it's any good. If not I'll have a lot of pennies for a 600 kit. Please do let us know how it works out if you get the kit. It'd be great if you had a before and after dyno. hint hint.

Howdy yall

I just recieved an e-mail from Mickey Dunlap at FST he quoted me a price of 865+shipping. I do not believe that this price includes machining work though. I will post again when I have more info.

think 300ex could keep up with a 500 scrambler too?.its lighter and clutch but 500 has more power and more weight

MAYBE in real tight wooded areas where the 300EX is more agile, but it cant touch a scram on the faster stuff or the nasty muddy stuff

I highly reccomend the FST kits, I'm sure you'll be happy with the 600 Polaris kit... but if you open that can of worms, be careful, because FST makes a 750 cc kit for the 650 twins & a 785 cc kit fot the 700's... I can tell you that with the 750 kit on my '02 Prairie, I can out run a factory rep on a new 500 Preditor, at any distance...

there will always be something bigger & faster... it's OK, as long as it isn't your buddy's quad...LOL
