Default Advice on fenders

Well right now I am seeing if you guys have any good advice. I am going to buy a new mairer race cut fender, and I have a brand new rear mairer fender with a red seat. I am going to air brush my fenders. Now here is where i want your guys opinions
Would painting the front and rear fender jet black, but keeping the seat red, and doing some flames(if flames are easy enough) on maybe the rear or front fender look good?
What do you guys think of maybe a aqua blue with silver stars all over, and keeping the seat red, or should I change to a blue seat with that look?

Do you guys have any other ideas for a cool looking color scheme. Looking for more easyier color schemes than getting into a lot of detail.

Hrmm, what kind of quad are you doing this to! and did you plan on painting the frame as well? that Aqua-blue with silver-stars sounds pretty cool to me! but if you did the black fenders, with red seat.....than id suggest making the flames red as well!! JMO different color combo's and styles look good on different quads! all depends on what you like!

Doing this on a 300ex. Figured im doing lots of engine work I might as well make it not look like a sleeper
Thing about it is I don't want to spend all the time making it nice, when I take it on trails and crack my fenders or something. Not that my airbrushing skills are any good

hrmm, 300ex you say. than the Black-fenders with the red-seat sounds cool, ive seen ex's like that before, but without the flames you said you wanted to do! that could look nice! altho im not sure how airbrushed paint would hold up..(durability wise)?? it could crack or chip! i never seen an airbrusjed quad before...lol!

Im going to look for a alasticy(sp?) type paint. I think they make like more durable paint that will kinda flow with the movement if you accidently like bump up against the fender. I think im gonna end up tearing my quad apart, and while im putting the 406 in, i will airbrush the fenders black, along with the frame. Luckily my seat is red already.
The reason I wanted the flames is because Jet black will look plain I guess you could say. Maybe I will do the frame and fenders Jet black, but put red shock covers on to give it more of a detail.

check this out, you may know already? but CEET makes flame grapkic kits for all the sport quads. the fender-flame kit might look good on that setup you want, plus the graphics are made to take abuse and Flex as well. JMO that might be a better choice than airbrush! ?? thats just my opinion tho. hope this helps. the flames are red with yellow tips, kinda like real fire-flames! it looks cool on black fenders.......!!!

and if you paint the frame al black as well, make sure you put a few layers of clear-coat over the paint, makes it last much longer and tougher too! that sounds like it will be one wicked looking EX when its done!

Thanks I forgot about graphic kits, that would be a lot easyier than doing flames. Ill get some pics of my 300ex when its done.
