WINCHES!!!
#11
Well it's past my birthday and I got alot of money for it so I think i'm going to get a winch soon. I think i'll just mount it on the front racks...I never use the front anyways and it's small and perfect for a winch.
1 thing I have to ask you guys...would the winch drain my battery or is it ok and not worry about it??? Do I need an upgrade of one of those things that charges my battery or what?

Yo ATV_MAN your battery will be fine its not as if you use the winch all the time so you wont have to do anything to electrical system I run a 12 volt sprayer sometimes for long periods and it doesnt affect the battery at all let us know how you get on with mounting your winch good luck from Dave

Don't put it on the front rack unless you're really into crafting a dispersed mounting setup.
A winch with a 2000lb capacity will tear your front rack right off if you're in a deep mud hold. If it doesn't tear off the rack the winch will tear right off. The rack isn't made of heavy steel and is not meant to handle that kind of stress. I suggest you purchase a mounting plate from Cycle country and mount your winch to that.
Good Luck,
S.
