Welded crank?
#2
From what I understand, Banshee cranks are pressed on, not splined or keyed(?), and welding the crank will prevent the crank counterweights from moving on the shaft. I will find out whenever I rebuild, and probably have it done by someone who knows what they are doing, because I think they will true it (balance) after welding.

The outside journals are just pressed onto a Banshee crank. The Journals can spin on the pins on a modified motor. The crank I had welded by TDR had about 1/4" long welds on it. When the crank needs to be pulled apart again. the welds can be ground out and it can be welded in the same spot again. I do not know whether this is needed as much on singles. With a twin, all the power of both cylinders is passed through the pin of one cylinder.
