White spots...Can you get rid of them?

I have a 99 Banshee with blue plastic. I'm going to be replacing it soon because of the white spots around all of the screws where the plastic is attached to the frame. I really like blue but I'm thinking of going to white to avoid these spots if the plastic gets bent again. Is there any way to remove these spots? Or is there aftermarket plastic that doesn't turn white if the plastic gets bent? Someone told me that if you heat the area with a heat gun [like painters use] it will go back to the original color, but that sounds dangerous. I'm afraid that if you heat it a little too much it'll just melt.
Thanks for all the help.

I think i remember people saying you can use a hair dryer to remove the spots. Dont get to close though..i guess the heat brings back the color. I dunno give it a try. it might work

Yes, the heat will bring back the color. You will probably neat a true heat gun. I don't think a hair dryer gets hot enough.
Be careful though, as heating up the plastic makes it more brittle. The more times you heat it, the more brittle it becomes.
